Seed Harvesting Time

One of the greatest things about fall, aside from the changing of the leaves, is harvesting seeds for next year. Today I collected around 100 seeds from my morning glories. Its thrilling to think of how many morning glories I can have around next year. I let some of them go to the ground so they will replant the current morning glories, but next year, I plan on living in a different house, so Im stocking up on the seeds now. There are still some seed pods on the plants that have yet to dry, so there are plenty more to come. The plants are starting to die off, so I think I will be harvesting the rest of them soon.

I have also been harvesting seed pods from my petunias. Those are a bit more tricky and slightly sticky. I have a beautiful variety of colors id like to take with me for next year as well.
